A bate fierul cât e cald

A bate fierul cât e cald – To beat the iron while it’s hot (actually – cald – means warm), this is generally used with the idea of taking advantage of a situation while you can. In English it might be similar to make hay while the sun shines.
Somewhere I found some pretty logic explanation that while the iron is hot you can do whatever you want with it, thus while you can you should seize an opportunity. ⛏️⛏️⛏️
Ex. – Dacă tot ai bani, nu ar fi mai bine să-i investești în ceva? Bate fierul cât e cald, după nu știi ce se mai întâmplă.
Vocabulary
Dacă – if
Bani – money
După – after
A ști – to know
A se întâmpla – to happen
